Express Service has serious competitive advantages in the shunting and last-mile services market. Our locomotive plant, with its ability to repair and manufacture locomotives, is our distinguishing feature as a shunting operator. Currently, in addition to our own plant, we also carry out railway shuntings at the Holcim (Bulgaria) cement plant and at the Kaolin plants in Senovo and Vetovo.
Of course, we do this with locomotives manufactured, upgraded or simply overhauled by us. We take advantage of the energy efficiency of our locomotives while at the same time providing a much cleaner and safer working environment in our customers' factories. Both in Holcim and Kaolin, we replaced the 52 and 55 series locomotives with battery operating solutions. Particularly illustrative is the example of the sand factory in Senovo, where no diesel locomotive has been operating for a year and a half. In addition to saving over 30,000 liters of diesel fuel, we also prevented the release of more than 100 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere.
For an industry / railway branch to be a client of our shunting solutions, it must have a conscious and consistent environmental policy. We highly value partners for whom toxic gases and oil spills are unacceptable and outdated practices of the 20th century.
